DryPak
This pouch is printed with pertinent information as well as chain of custody. This pouch has the same strong closure as our FitzpakTM Evidence/ Property Bags as well as the bar-coded sequential numbering. The front side is clear for easy viewing of evidence. The unique material used in the construction of the backside is a two-way breathable material that allows wet evidence to dry inside the pouch. The bottom of the pouch can be opened for evidence examination then resealed with a heat sealer. The smaller sizes are excellent for collecting specimens using swabs & can be used for Specimen cards.

Evidence Pouch
FitzpakTM is the strongest tape-top evidence storage pouch on the market. It has a unique Easy SealTM closure that will void if tampered with. It is impervious to heat or cold. This pouch also has a sequential numbering system. On the bag is a bar code and the adhesive liver is printed with the corresponding number. This system helps to prevent bag switching, as well as establishing an audit trail. FitzpakTM evidence pouches utilize a clear special polyethylene film that is extra tough, ensuring the integrity of the pouch during transportation and handling. Writing areas on every pouch are pre-printed providing easy identification and reference. These pouches have a stock print, but can be custom printed to correlate with internal systems. FitzpakTM pouches are available in five stock sizes, but are also available in custom sizes.

FTA®
FTA® coated paper has been shown to provide a safe and convenient matrix for the collection and long-term storage of biological samples. Utilizing a simple non-toxic reagent, DNA can be prepared from whole blood, buccal epithelial cells and other biological specimens stored on FTA® coated paper. The processing of samples by this method provides the highest quality DNA template for PCR amplification. Studies have shown that the DNA remains tightly bound to the FTA matrix during processing. To facilitate its application for RFLP analysis, the DNA can be easily removed from the FTA® matrix by centrifugation, following in situ restriction endonuclease digestion.
FTA® is a trademark of the Whatman Group. Covered under US Patents 5496562, 5756126, 5807527 and patents pending.
